RECORDS REVIEW & ANALYSISWITH CONSULTATION I review education records (IEPs, evaluations, progress reports). I talk to you and find out what has happened. I pinpoint legal violations. I make notes about educational concerns. I give you my legal opinion and recommendations for your next steps.
ADVICE - I make recommendations to you about what I think MUST be done, what SHOULD be done, and what COULD be done. We focus on resolving disputes and problems.
MEETINGS - I attend IEP meetings with families. I also attend 504 Plan meetings.
DISPUTE RESOLUTION - If your case cannot be resolved through less expensive, time-consuming channels, you may need to file a Formal Complaint. I can help with that. Or you may need to request a Mediation. I attend with families. You may even need to request a hearing known as a Due Process Hearing. A lawyer is essential for this process.
